Driving Directions

Location: 429 Trout Lake Road, Diamond Point, NY 12824

Camp Walden is located on Trout Lake, in the Town of Bolton, just four miles from Lake George and three hours from the New York metro, Montreal and Boston areas. The camp is one hour from the Albany International Airport.

From the South: New Jersey, New York City and surrounding areas
  1. Take any roads that best lead you to the New York State Thruway (I-87 North).
  2. Take I-87 North towards Albany.
  3. Stay on I-87 until you reach Albany and get off at exit 24 – pay toll and proceed onto 87 North toward Montreal.
  4. Continue on 87 (also known as The Northway) until you reach exit 22.
  5. Take exit 22 toward US-9 N/Lake George Village/Diamond Point (.9 miles).
  6. Turn left onto NY-9N/Lake Shore Drive (4 miles).
  7. Turn slight left onto Coolidge Hill Road/CR-49 (4 miles).
  8. At end make left onto Trout Lake Road/CR-48 (1miles).
  9. Camp Walden is on the right side.
From the South: Northern Westchester and Connecticut
  1. Take any roads that best lead you to the Taconic Parkway.
  2. Take the Taconic towards Albany.
  3. Take I-90 West towards Albany for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Take Exit 1B for Alternate 90 West toward Albany.
  5. As you approach the city of Albany, Take RT 787 North for approximately 3 – 5 miles.
  6. Take RT 7 West for approximately 2 – 3 miles. Merge onto 87 North.
  7. Continue on 87 (also known as The Northway) until you reach exit 22.
  8. Take exit 22 toward US-9 N/Lake George Village/Diamond Point (.9 miles).
  9. Immediately bear left toward NY-9N. At end turn Left onto NY-9N/Lake Shore Drive (4 miles).
  10. Turn slight left onto Coolidge Hill Road/CR-49 (4 miles).
  11. At end make left onto Trout Lake Road/CR-48 (1miles).
  12. Camp Walden is on the right side.
From the North: Montreal, Toronto and surrounding areas
  1. Take any roads that best lead you to the Montreal border.
  2. Take Route 87 South from the border.
  3. Get off at Bolton Landing (Exit 24) and go to Bolton Landing, then South on Route 9N.
  4. One half mile past Bolton, turn right at the Rondack Motel, onto Mohican Road.
  5. Follow the road staying on the main road.
  6. At the stop sign bear right and stay right at all intersections until you see camp on your right side.
